insurance how much!!!!!!

rang sureturm up today for a new quote .last year £115 with highway fully comp to be told sorry they do not cover frontera`s any more only landrovers WHAT...best quot they gave me £750 ---k me that's a jump and a half rang round any way cut a long story short best quote COOP £400 has the world gone mad????

Hi, i`m a newbie but sold my Freelander yesterday & tried to insurance my new Frontera today. £78 more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT!!!!!!!!!!

Frank Pickles and Adrian Flux wont give me a quote for my fronty due to not enough mods or because its not used as a second car. :evil:

The cheapest quote I got was £226 from 1st quote and the dearest quote I got was £1999.99. :shock:

The insurance world has gone completely bonkers.

I was with 1st Quote last year and my policy was £338 tpft, this year they wanted £589 tpft.... :shock:

So Frank Pickles I went and got a deal of £205 fully comp..... :wink:

Thanks krusher for the heads up on Frank Pickles who I hadnt heard of.
I am with direct line at the moment about £300 I think.

I've got 9 years NCB, no points, no convictions, parked all day and overnight on a private drive, 8K per year and only mods so far are wheels and tyres. Tried all the suggested companies last month and the cheapest tpft quote was £405 from Flux! :evil:

Pickles couldn't even give me a quote for some reason. I had a Maverick nicked 2 years ago but it didn't really have any impact on last years policy and it was protected NCB.

Cheapest fully comp quote was almost £700.

I know I live in Brum but come on!!!

well by the looks of things its the coop then £400 fully comp £100 excess+£50 vol excess or £425 --£100 compul excess no vol exess will have another look about got till march thought i got the best deal on earth last year £115 fully comp+green laning cover+trailer cover free court car barstewards..

I'm with LV. 179.62 on the maverick which is about £6 more than the trooper would have been, which was the same as the fronty. That's with an additonal named driver and protected NCB on 5k pa mileage. But there's 5% discount for having multiple policies with them.
