Nice truck Paul...it looks a stunner...they are kinda like a cayenee with offroad attitude...

So whats the plan...keep it stock and enjoy it as is, or maybe to get it dirty....or maybe to mod it into one of the monsters pictured above???

That is one smart looking truck, I think it is was ahead of it's time and I wouldn't mind betting the designer's of the Evoque had a good look round it before they got there pen's out.

There's a few things not quite right with it though.....

The reversing screen isn't the Isuzu one - looks like it's been replaced at some point with something that doesnt quite fit.

The front seats should be Recaro's ... don't look like it to me.

The side badges (decals) have been replaced with chrome stuff (what's that "RS" all about?)

Incredibly ugly "Scoop" on the bonnet panel...... shouldn't be there.

The wheels are just plain WRONG....... they look like old "trooper" alloys.

Got to say I LOVE what he's done at the front with the two extra lights each side of the "square" number plate.
Was wondering where I was going to fit a couple of extra lamps...... now I know!..... just gotta get a "square" plate!


If anyone's thinking of buying though...

Spares are dead easy.... Brake pads (and discs) are Frontera "B" (so don't go buying anything that's twice the price 'cos it says "Vehicross" and is, in fact, the same part number).

Engine is the 6VD1 so all v6 Frontera parts fit.

Air filter (and the box and most of the trunking) is the same as V6 Frontera.

Switchgear inside is mostly Frontera.

Wing mirrors are Identical to Frontera "B"

Interior Mirror is, again, Identical to Frontera "B"

Tyre sizes are 245x70x16

I can't really think of anything (spares availability wise) that's likely to be a major problem ...

Actually quite a bit smaller (and lighter) than a 3 door Frontera.. so the performance is amazing.. on and off road.

They really should have, after spending so much money on the "TOD" box (which is awesome) fitted it to the V6 frontera!

Hmmm..... lot of bids so far and still 8 days to go.
I reckon 4.5 - 5k, maybe more, depends how much someone wants it!
Gone up to 3.5k now!
Thing is they are now being seen as "collectible" as only about 3,900 were ever made - probably only 2000 or so remaining around the world, the majority stateside.

I have Giles Chapman's book "The worlds greatest sport utility vehicles" in which he says:
"The Vehicross, meanwhile, is certain to be a collectors item. Who knows-Perhaps it could become the Jaguar E-type or Chevrolet Corvette of the suv world"


I wouldn't be surprised if it goes (way) over 5k.
