is frontera 2.3td is good??

i was thinking going swap my vectra 02plate for m reg 2.3td lwb and got off road tyres also suspension lift too. only done 139k miles got mot and tax spent some new parts on it. so wonder if that frontera good or get bit better frontera??? i going having a look tomorrow afternoon...... pls help lol

Ive got a 1993 2.3 and i love it to bits, it will never set any land speed records but i think its brilliant . Does about 35mpg as well which for the size and weight is brilliant. All down to personal choice really mate.
I dont think its worth as much as your vectra though But that all depends on what you vectra's like

okay thanks for reply my car is vectra b 02plate short mot and tax it 2.2i 16v petrol special sri 150bhp.... it too much for me to keep running cos fuel and insurnace.... so i would like to back frontera cos it brills i had 2 frontera in past it frontera b first one is frontera b y reg with damage engine block brought for 300 pound and i fitted new engine then sold cos it 2.2i 16v what a drinking petrol so year later i brought v reg 2.2 dti at 800 pound and spent some money on it then sold again cos short mot and tax lol...... anyway i was going get frontera a this time see how i like it lol that m reg frontera a got offroad tyres also suspension lift too mean i dont have to spend again hahaha cos i been check insurance which is much better cheaper than my vectra

wouldnt want to argue with any one or but anyone off but my 2.3 lasted a month constant over heating caused a waped head, did the head/ gasket then the oil pump died (or shall we say i had no oil pressure at all) on the m25 towing a car on a trailer and tried to get it to next services 2 mile ish away, lets just say it warped another head that day and i never got to the services cause of overheating when the oil pressure problem happened and all fluids in engine bay mixed ,oil in the water and water in the oil and oil and water all over the sides of the engine then the engine went bang in a big way, all i'm going to say is couldn't actually see what was in my boot there was that much smoke,

i got the bloody thing home tried to fill the water up and ended up filling the sump up with water,

the constant over heating i never did figure out what that was causing it, it had new water pump and rad and new stat and it always went straight to 3/4 on the gauge when it warmed up,

i now got a 2.8 tdi and not had a problem with the engine, if i ever got rid of the 2.8 the only engines i would ever look at is the 2.8 tdi or the 2.5 tds,

I'm on my second 2.3 fronty.
I have been abusing mine for 2 years ( i no longer have any straight panel on my truck including the roof) and has never really let me down( apart from the timing chain tensioner giving up the will to live )
Did an engine rebuild about a year ago and she hasn't missed a beat since
