Today I didnt do anything to my car but we popped over to my mates in St Helens and fitted a LR V8 engine back to its gearbox then lifted the great big double lump and shoehorned it into a series LR, oh the joy it was not light

A little of the cab needs re-modelling though, like a bulkhead, seats, oh and a floor lol.


Caught my mate Ged in a LR, swore he would never be seen in one, the tart, fair enough it was his go with the plasma cutter lol

Thought about stuffing a v8 in the yella fronterror...got a 3.9 RR v8 somewhere, but figured if I was going to the hassle that it made sense to stick a proper beast v8 in it...hence the gmc v8 diesel...6 and a half litres of grunt!

Should just about make it between filling stations I reckon...just...

Gregster, the GM V8 6.5 does about 25 mpg, in a range rover it'll do about 2gpm.....thats gearboxes per mile !!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously though, know a gut who had said engine in a RR converted to a a long pick-up. No-matter whether he was empty; loaded or towing it always returned 25 mpg, including the roads around and about Dartmoor. His biggest issue was gearboxes, the GM would munch them for fun. Need to run a 3 speed torqueflight auto to be safer.
