'93 Polo oil light

Not sure if this is the right bit but here we go anyway.

One of the bosses at work has a '93 1.0 Polo with an oil light that stays on all the time. I'm assuming it'll be something like the oil pressure sensor? If so, where would it be hiding?

I believe on one this age it's near the oil filter housing (you'll see a connector plug nearby).

on a 93 should be on top of oil filter housing as said, my golf had 2 sensors on it, a hi pressure warning and a low pressure warning sensor so take the sensor along with youu if you need a new one so you get the right one,

They are a bugger for the oil light staying on, I ran one for 20k with the light on, all that was in one summer mind

chances are it not the sensor very rare for the vw sensor to go i would say it mor like the oil pump is on it way out as it a common prob with them
