I`ll shortly be selling my B series DTI sport, as i need a 5 door.
Question is, how does the 2.2 petrol B series compare to the DTI performance wise?
I wouldn`t mind another diesel or a V6, but keeping my options open.

Re: 2.2 petrol v 2.2 dti?i have never had a dti but i have a 2.2 petrol b at moment and i have had a 2.2 petrol a in the past i have always found that they pull quite well mind you watch out for the manifold my old a engine was spot on no problems at all was just the body that let it down i have a few of the common problems with my b at the min but with a bit of help from here should get it sorted another thing i just remember on my old 2.2 it had a misfire it cost me a fair bit with leads plugs coil pack etc it turned out to be a wire that runs to a injector had a brake in it off the connecter block that what garage told me anyway hope that is some sort of help
Re: 2.2 petrol v 2.2 dti? This might be a bit controversial , but I don't intend it to be, but the 2.2 petrol engines seem to be made out of cheese
Re: 2.2 petrol v 2.2 dti?we started with a 2.2 swb B-series petrol not sure if i was lucky but had no major issues accept the clocks,
engine was quiet nippy on the motor way, but was heavy on fuel around town, and it was not the best on steep hills haveing to drop gears more than i expected, but we where 4 up with luggage so guess thats not helping, certainly would have another one but would have to be LWB i like the extra space lol.... and they pull well at low revs in high gears always a bonus if your lazy like me. if its not broke just let me fix it for ya!!!
