banter general discussions etc

Last monday was driving down a dual carriage way 55ish, huge bang from the gearbox and the rear wheels lock up, Frontera start to spin and eventually ends up in lane 2 with its rear in the crash barrier facing the oncoming traffic Phoned the feds who turned up within 5 mins and diverted the traffic from lane 2, crawled under and took off the rear propshaft so it could be moved, more feds turn up so they can close the dual carriageway and get the Frontera out of the way And to top it all looks like it has taken out the rear diff Doing 50 ish sideways down a dual carriageway is interesting Somebody must have been looking after me, didn't hit anybody and nobody hit me, didn't roll it as it was going sideways, no body damage as the rear just fits over the crash barrier and finally there was a big compressor behind the front seats that didn't fly about and smash me to bits

This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered ) Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... I have to strip the transfer box as it has a set of Terralows fitted, will take the rest apart and see what sort of mess is in there.
