steel seal head gasket and block sealer

has anybody used this product,supposed to be for blown head gasket,warped head,cracked head costs about £30,there is some reviews but are they genuine.whats your views on it????

There is only one fix for a head gasket, thats fix it properly.
These wonder fixes only disguise the fault and could cause you more expense in the long run :wink:

Get it done properly. Spend the £30 on a sniff test to confirm a blown head gasket, and get it repaired the right way.

As everyone above says.....No. If your lucky you may, but unlikely get a temporary reprieve. My advice and from many others,
spend the money on the gasket set instead and do the job properly, its the only way

i think these type of products might be a temporary get you home thing & nothing more, you would probably get the same results if you were to use the old egg white trick :wink:

as others have said the best way is a proper fix but......

i have used this very successfully on my old mini when a core plug was leaking (2 yrs+), head gasket leak on my previous fronty - kept it going until i could afford a replacement cylinder head (6 mths+) and my current one which had a leaky heater matrix (fingers crossed no problems for 2 years BUT the heater aint great, guess its probably clogged up with the stuff somewhere??)

theoretically none of this stuff should work, it isnt the right thing to do to add a chemical solution to a system that wasnt designed for it BUT

the question you need to answer;

do i want to spend the dosh getting it repaired? if not try this product..... :wink:
