can anyone suggest any insurers for mods / laning ect

Hi, looking to change my insurance beacause it doesnt cover mods and laning ect. If anyone can suuest anyone i would appreciate it.

im with adrian flux or frank pickles both do you for laning and mods on your truck i think we have quite a few people with either one of these but best way is to ring and get a quote off both

make sure you read the small print though as they dont give any no claims bonus's and your car needs to be modified, tell them we sent you and you get an extra 15% off :wink:

No proof required, they just asked and that was it

I tried Frank Pickles but they said my truck wasnt modified enough. :cry:

I did change my insurance to Noel Davey yesterday. They do a special offroading policy.

i got my mate on with frank pickles
just said inch suspension lift extra wide wheels & tyres with wheel spats fitted and spots fitted on bullbar

he had no no claim bonus and it cost £300 in total

frank pickles for me too £152.23 fully comp with off road insurance with mods

Had to go with flux £500 which was £500 better than the rest and frank dosnt like scousers, wont do are area ( snobs )

just reading your posts about frank pickles,
ive recently tried these to be refused as i drive the frontera as my main car they wont insure it,
is this the normal, does everyone else drive normal cars most of the week only using there fronteras as a second vehicle??
i thought it odd i have no bad strikes on me and 10+ years no claims and cant get insured with them..
having to mooch elsewhere :cry:

I think they only insure 2nd vehicles. Just got a quote of 175!!!. A bit different to the 700 off swinton.

With the amount you save could you get a 2nd car. Taking account of the mpg. When the mrs stopped driving the fronty she had a clio, the difference in petrol kept the truck on the road.

Mine's insured through them, the vario9us mods went on without em blinking, no problems with it being a daily car, and cheap enough for fully comp too - somewhere around £275 for the year, IIRC..

my insurance is due end of the month so pays to find a good quote early,

thought about a second car but the mrs only drives from the back seat... :lol:

and parking with the nieghbours is already a joke, running costs are high but i love the frontera so i live with it..
