Re: Failed motWhen were the pads fitted mate?
It could be that they havent bedded in yet. If you fitted them just before the MOT, thats probably the problem. It takes a wee bit of time for them to deglaze and form the shape of the discs, if the discs are used ones. Going by the vibes from you, he hasnt failed on any specific side, so no brake pulls etc. So brakes must be balanced correctly. Sounds like the friction surfaces. Did you do the pads yourself? Were the sliding pins on the calipers lubricated? Regards, Keith.

Re: Failed motsorry to hear she failed mate, you can buy flexi pipes from ebay etc & have it welded on to both parts of the original pipe, i had to change mine last year cos the flexi was falling to bits but if its too far gone a whole centre section is available from millners

Re: Failed motSounds like you need to change the fluid in the brake system and see how that helps.
A few quids worth of fluid and the right brake bleeding kit can do wonders. Is the pedal a bit soft. If you need something done quickly just ask a busy woman then get the f"k out of her way.
Re: Failed motThe exhaust flexi on mine was seperate from the centre box.It had a little pin hole in it so i had it welded,it only cost me £10.Just hopeing a fluid change and a general celan up of the brakes sorts the brake problems out.
Re: Failed motfingers crossed mate

Re: Failed motIt would pay to put new fluid in, and bleed bleed bleed them. Just start with the one that has the longest pipe from the master cylinder, then the next furthest and so on. Once your done repeat it to make sure your getting all the old fluid out. Keep an eye on the level in the reservoir and make sure it doesn't drop below minimum or you will draw air into it.
As for the cam sensor its an easy fix (especially on a Frontera) though I am surprised it came up on the MOT or am I reading it wrong. ![]() ![]() My members ride For Banshee the Trooper : viewtopic.php?f=46&t=34626 My members ride for Leeloo the Lotus Edition viewtopic.php?f=46&t=60154 Deceased My members ride for Brenda the Bighorn : viewtopic.php?f=46&t=54771
