4WD help

HI Guys
Looking at buying a fronty it's a 2.2 dti ltd W reg
My question is it's got a problem with the 4WD the seller say's (4x4 works inconsistently - I believe this is due to 4WD ECU needing replacement)
can anyone tell me if it sounds right and how much would it cost.

Very very likely leaking vac pipes.

Check the ends of the pipes in the vac system as they corrode and split, you might get away with cutting the ends off and refitting.
Most say around 33mpg but a dti owner will be able to verify that for me.

MPG for mine is average 33-34. But then i tend to drive like a granny! When i absolutely cane it when ita used as a working van i got 31.

as above for the fuel - burn figures and sometimes better

If you don't have any luck getting the 4 wheel drive to work, let us know as there are some other areas that might cause this - and we will try and help you

Heh - its me thats selling that fronty - its not the vac pipes as I did those a while ago. Here is more info on my diagnosing of the 4wd problem
