Did a bit of green laning with Huggy in Wales the day before you guys ventured out and tested this idea, and it worked well. Did not get ragged off, and gained a few scratches on the unprotected panels but the protected door shows no sign of damage at all. The other thing i noticed is that over the time the vinyl has contoured itself to the door...
Here is a pic of the vinyl moulding to the door, i guess the sun must of warmed it.

These 2 pics show the scratch on the top silver part of the door its hard to photograph but if you look hard enough you will see it.
