best way from holyhead to birmingham?

as it says guys ,on a wee trip at the weekend. whats the best route - up the a55 towards chester , or the a5 then down to shrewsbury ?

A5 - M54 - M6 (wave as you pass the RAC centre) A38M straight into B'ham town centre - welcome to the smoke.

Although be prepared fo a slight queue as you merge from the M54 to the M6. Ought not to be too bad on a weekend though.

as long as it isn't Sunday afternoon, there are always lots of people leaving Wales on Sunday afternoon, oh and its the rally in Penmachno (nr Betws-y-Coed) Saturday late morning /early afternoon (I think) and can be a bit heavy with traffic on the A5, but only around the time of the rally

And the A5 has the best views coming through Snowdonia and the Ogwen Valley (as long as its not misty), going the A55 will be the long way around as you will be head up North to go Back South and I think there are still road works near St Asaph.

No she is not stuck in the road works she just lives the other side of them
