A little info please!!

Which has the widest track the leaf sprung Fronty Sport or the coil sprung :?:

I bet someone somewhere is just bursting at the seams to tell me :rotfl:

They are both the same track,the rim offset was reduced when the wider coil sprung axle was introduced,thus why the track width is increased on coilers that use leafer wheels :wink:

Later Alloys and steel wheels fitted from a coil sprung truck to a leaf spring truck, looks a tad "silly" !!!! You can see how far into the arches the wheels sit.

How Earlier "deep dish" Alloy Wheels fit on to the truck ......

I do like your truck Fuddy and your wheels are real nice, however if you come out one morning and the truck is sitting on a pile of bricks you'll know I've visited during the night :lol lol:

Back to wheels, I've got 16" rims on my '98 Sport and I don't really want to go down to 15" but I can't find any 16" wheels with good offset.

Go down to 15" rims if you can, cos you got a lot more choice in tyre tread patterns and sizes.

I think the most common size on here is 31" x 10.5" x R15

Lots of choice in new and remould available in that size.

Including the Kingpin Mud Terrain tyre, a remould of a bridgestone pattern, but very well constructed and cheap at around 45 pounds per tyre.

That's true Fuddy I've seen loads of nice S/H 15" wheels and tyres on flea-bay, and my '92 Sport has S/H BFG's AT's on split rims and they look quite good I'm just loath to go down a wheel size, I wonder if anyone else has taken the plunge and what were the results :?:

i'm sure big red fronty has just downsized from 16's to 15's also dropping an inch in tyre size from 33 to 32 and he's well chuffed with em
