2.2 engine

Is the 2.2 engine in a 2002/3 astra etc the same unit as in the fronty. Just wondered if any of the head gasket/ overheating problems or any other gremlins they had were sorted by then.

think the later 2.2 is a chain driven engine! i believe only other vauxhall with x22xe is the sintra but i might be wrong!
