How fast at certain RPMs

Today, my speedo threw the biggest wobbly it's had since I've had the truck, and I was tanking along at anything between 80-140mph everywhere today :lol:

So I was wondering, to give me an idea of my speed, how fast would you say I was going if I was travelling at 2000RPM in top gear on a flat road? Just roughly... It felt really slow but no one would pass me :?:

on the 2.5 fronty A thats about 50MPH...maybe you were taking up both sides of the road watching the revs lol maybe thats why nobody passed you :lol:

I guessed about 50mph, think 1500 in 4th through a town is about 30...do you think an officer of the law would be suitably impressed lol

Just couldn't get the speedo to quit mucking around...lights on / off etc no joy today :roll:

For "safety camera`s" I use..... 1500 in 4th approx 30,1500 in 5th approx 40,then add 10mph per 500rpm works in mine :wink:

if you have satnav just check speed on that against revs
or just use satnav as its more accurate than fronty speedo :drink:

plus it should warn you were the camera's are :drink:

Hey, would a cheapo satnav be cheaper than fixing the problem - I'll have to see how much they are.

Just drive through CRIMOND between Fraserburgh and Peterhead It has two nice little signs that tell you what speed your doing and if they go red you know your being a little noughty :shock:

Already sussed that with the tyres that I have got on 246x65x16 (std) that my speedo reads 4mph faster than it should

and besides once you go through there's a nice stright flat road so you can get your speed just right :dance:

just dont try and join the 11min club their just loonies (fraserburgh 2 peterhead 18 mile in 11 min's) mind thats proberbly why there's 7 speed cameras on that road but saying that they are only active after 82mph :shock:

i would think about between 40 45 mph . yeh thats not very fast
