Re: my turn todayupdate......i have been posting on "what did you do to your truck today" post, but might aswell update this post also.
brake lines cut half way down the chassis, flared steel pipes and fitted female unions, cut 2 lengths of copper pipe & straightened, flared & fitted male unions to one end only while i routed down the chassis, half the clips broke from removing the old pipes so some p clips were bought for this. flared & fitted male unions to other end (load sensor end) stripped and cleaned load sensor, straightened connecting bar refitted and connected brake pipes up. came back next day there were dripping so off they came, flared some more and back on, lovely job. bled load sensor, then rear brakes. (still got to do front, ran out of brake fluid!!) front lights taken out to find all four retaining clips (White ones) were snapped, so ordered 4 from vauxhall, fitted now all good (i hope) stripped front brakes de-contaminated everything with brake and clutch cleaner, and a little panel wipe for good measure!!! pads are ok with plenty of life, so everything put back together. i could still smell fuel quite striongly so decided to look at the pies 'just in case' and as i thouight the solid line had split, so this was cut out and replced with 800mm of flexi hose. time for the retest me thinks!!!
Re: my turn todayExcellent news, fingers crossed.
