Frontera B - 4WD Question

Postby Aide on Thu Feb 18, 2010 10:56 pm

HI, I have just purchased a 51 Plate Frontera 2.2 DTi Auto and i have a question about the 4WD mode.

Am I right in assuming that the 4WD mode should not be used on Tarmac (unless covered in snow or other slippy stuff)?

If so, how slippy does the surface need to be to avoid transmission wind up problems?

Do most owners just use 4WD when in snow/mud and then switch back to 2WD as soon as you are out of trouble?
