New FOG stickers

Wanted to fit mine to the front screen, but on lining it up, it looked like it was going to go into the wiper zone.
They appear higher than the previous ones Trugga was selling, as his just kept out of the wiper zone by a few mm.

Has anyone fitted these to their front screen, and did you manage to keep it clear of the wiper zone?

For those wondering why I'm asking. If the wipers go over the stickers and the MOT tester spots this, then you could fail you MOT. Having said that, the tester didn't even test mine last time :lol:

, but I know a member who's car failed a test due to the positioning of a fog sticker and he had to remove it.

As Trugga is currently unavailable, does anyone else have any stocks of the old type I can buy for my front screen?

No stocks of them at all, one way around i is do what I did, use smaller wipers, works a treat :wink:

Or you could trim an old set of usable wipers down and inch with a hacksaw

Trim 2" off your old wipers :lol:

just fit at MOT time then refit the others afterwards. :wink:

As far as im aware there is nothing in the MOT rule book that says its a fail for a wiper blade to touch a sticker on the top of the windscreen as it has nothing to do with the drivers vision. I may be wrong but i will consult my stepson who is an MOT tester. Mine has touched for my last 2 MOT's and nothing said as they performed OK.

Forgot to say yours are alot bigger than mine. Does Look good though!!!!!!!!

As drift said put a couple of shorter blades on that miss for mot :wink:

Bobby,anything that obscures your vision through any part of the drivers side windscreen wipers swept area is an MOT fail,that includes sat nav`s,PDA`s,phones & thier mountings (either windscreen or dashboard mounted),ask your boss he fell foul of it last year :wink:
