remote alarm fob/key

just bought a 1996 apache sport s and got 4 keys but no alarm fob, can anyone tell me if they came with a fob or is it just deactivated with the key turning on the ignition. if i need a fob where can i get one looked on ebay no joy or are they main dealer part. cheers tim

Should really have come with a remote fob, however if you don't mind using the key, your better off just staying as you are in my opinion.

Getting new remotes and having them coded can be a costly exercise and may throw up issue's with the alarm / central locking. It's nice to have the remote but you may well open up a large can of worm's for yourself.....

Nope, no fob you get about 40 seconds to get the key into the ignition and half turn before all hell breaks loose
