If you are worried about whether your wheels will pass or not then get off your buttocks and go to the place where it is going to be tested and tell the tester that you are not sure about the rules and ask him what you should do.
Put yourself in his place. Every day he has people trying to slide one by him.
Everyday he gets abused 'cos a car doesn't pass.
Anonymous people treat him like s*** every day.
Be a human, make a connection, he is not your schoolteacher he's a bloke doing a job.
Don't just phone; get down there and make the booking face to face and ask about rulings on whatever you are worried about it will save you spending money on Urban Myths.

i have usually had any vehicle due for mot serviced by the same garage that does the mot - if anything major has come up they would phone me and give me an idea what it would cost - as they already have the vehicle it saves a lot of time and money :wink:

Here in France the MOT place is independent or if the garage do tests it is a bloke from an independent examiner.
