if yor serious about wading try the one up the road from me, Violets Lane or otherwise known as Fernaux Pelham ford. Longest in britain at 1/2 mile of water and in the winter you deffo need a snorkel and swimming trunks as it gets to about 4ft deep in places...a bit easier in the summer tho
