Hi Lift Jack for Frontera (New)

I I know this has been done to death before, me included, but I think I may have a solution to the hi-lift jack problems on the fronteras. :axe:

I have just ordered one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260539362180&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT so hopefully can change wheels on a lifted frontera both on and off road and even lift it enuf to put the waffle boards under the wheels when required. :mrgreen:

What is the panel's opion on this. :?:

great piece of kit, was looking at it last year, but the only thing that put me of, and is only one thing,
i know of a garage who keep two if i or any other 4x4 turn up,

was if i was in the situation i am in now, where i have half the engine out and waiting for parts, i could not use it,

Its defo for a on the move type thing as I have trolly jack and axel stands and home but dont carry them with me. I think I would really struggle at the moment to change a wheel using the standard bottle jack, and it is quite useless in an off road situation.

Also a difference on price of *10 on that one andy.

Easy, Ive changed the front wheel on a lifted Frontera on a sodden wet lane in Wales using a halfords bottle jack, just unscrew the top out and stick the jack on anything solid and place it under the lower wish bone, there are very very few cars that had IFS that wont work on :wink:

You only need lift it half an inch.

I can see the merits of the sack jack though, nice bits of kit.

Cant wait for the first person to jack their car up on the cat convertor....... big bang and it all comes crashing down :oops:
