Converted Fronty OwnerHello to all, I am posting this as I am the proud owner of a '94 2.3 diesel LWB on a Q plate. I should point out that I have been looking for the right LR Discovery for a couple of years (and saving), when one day my lovely uncle offered me his fronty for FREE. I thought it would do until I got my prefered Landy, then I drove her, I now say, sod discoveries, I have also driven series land rovers and compared to all of them my fronty is more comfortable, much easier to drive and better on fuel. I have taken her off road a couple of times already and she has taken on anything I have thrown at her. Yes she has niggles and bad mornings but nothing compared to most land rovers. Just serviced her and now starting on the cosmetics, suprised how cheap most bits are too. Looking foward to adding a few mods now, can't wait. Sure I will be back soon to pick your brains.

Re: Converted Fronty OwnerHi and welcome to fog.
Re: Converted Fronty OwnerWelcome to FOG mate , would like to know why you have a Q plate though
Re: Converted Fronty OwnerHi and welcome to fog, really glad to read of your preferance as I am surrounded by landrover owners who seem to look down on fronteras.I haven't owned a landrover but did drive a series one about occasionally which was lovely but impractical at the time.I also seroiously thought I was going to die in it as I was absolutely standing on the brakes down the hill into dover by the castle and it was barely slowing down, fortunately the lights changed to green at the last minute.I love my 2.3,the niggles I have had have nearly all been pipes beginning to perish and parts like wheel bearings which have worn out.
Re: Converted Fronty OwnerThank you all for the kind welcome. In truth joncal, I haven't a clue as to why its on a Q plate, neither do any of the previous owners, it has been checked by the AA and certified as legal and above board. This caused my main problem with my 2.3, insuring her. But finally got there and boy was she worth it.
Re: Converted Fronty OwnerHello and welcome. You made the right choice.
Now you have to apologise for saying L*nd R*v*r in here
Re: Converted Fronty OwnerCould have had a new chassis on it and that can get you a Q plate.
