I just need to check if a SWB fronty will fit on my trailer. If someone has a spare minute could they measure the distance from the outer edges of the tyres for me? My trailer's not the widest, so I just want to be certain.

i tried with my tape i reckon it is just under 6ft but that was over the bonnet from arch to arch it was somewhere between 5ft10- 6ft but im saying roughly cant find my haynes manual

according to the net it says 6ft 8

Just measured my B SWB with 245 tyres at 70" tyre to tyre along the ground.

Blimey that's wider than I expected

I can just get a Land Rover 90 on, so I didn't expect a Fronty to be wider

Should be in the region of 92 inches if an early A series and a couple wider if a later A :wink:

Thats the wheelbase to the outside edge of the tyres.

The early A is smaller than the later A and B

It has shorter axles
