sump sealant

is there anything you can add to the engine oil (without any damage) to stop slight oil leak from the sump,i have checked all bolts and are tight i'm sure i have read on here somewhere that you can add something to the engine oil which might seal the rubber gasket up a bit as not much of a leak but dont want to put new gasket on just yet so thought if anyone can recomend what to use without breaking the engine?

Yes, Forte oil seal conditioner. Drift reckons its good stuff, I will be giving some of that a go myself.

A bit more expensive that the stuff you can by direct from motor factors, but you pay for what you get.

There is alway stuff like Wynns Stop Leak, from Halfrauds, cost around about £4.00, but does it work ????? I've never had much luck with the cheap stuff.

So the choice is yours.

funny enough just been to get wynns to try so will let you know.
i guess in next few months it will have to go and get a new cluch at the garage so while it is there they can put new sump gasket on,it's leaking but not that much but i dont like oil leaks!
so it's just something temp for now to try and stop it.
what one would you use for the gearbox as 10/40 in there so would you use the engine treatment one or just standard gearbox type?

Ive used Forte Seal Conditioner and it sorted a small leak from a front crank seal, it hasnt leaked for a few years since.
It can only work on partially worn seals and small leaks.

sorry for late reply drift but visitors round for the weekend,just trying to stop the leak for a little while until it goes to the garage soon.

if its going in the garage soon then is it slow enough to put up with until then?
