Speedo cable quickie...

Wotcher folks...

Whilst I was patiently sytipping bits off my dead LWB yesterday, I had one of those "eureka" moments, and decided to liberate the speedo cable, seeing as I was taking the dash apart anyhow.
The reasoning is that Sophie the SWB lacks for one, cos it had a bit of an accident :oops:

Anyhow, just to check, is a speedo cable a speedo cable is a speedo cable?? No differences depending on the model / engine??

if it fits both ends it will be fine

Correct, cos the cable go to the gearbox, not the engine, and as far as i know the attachment on the gearbox is in virtually the same place on all models.

And if worst case, it is slightly too long, just loop it out a bit more in the engine bay. :wink:

Its only got to connect to point (a) and point (b) the bit in between just goes through the engine bay and down the side of the box.
