Can anyone Help!!!My wife came home in her zafria 1.8 petrol today saying the car has lost power and is struggling to start
the car really struggles to accelerate and hesitates. the car also has a warning light on the dash and when checked in the book it says its emissions fault and should take it to vauxhall asap
Re: Can anyone Help!!!Mass Air Flow Meter ( MAF ) faulty sounds a likely course, if Im not mistaken the 1.8 is not to dissimilar to the 2.2 Frontera engine.

Re: Can anyone Help!!!How old is the car? Lambda sensors have got alot to answer for. If the car is newish, get in, put your left foot on the brake and push the throttle to the floor with your right at the same time, then turn the ignition on but don't start the car. If it has the same set up as my astra you will get the fault codes displayed where the milometre is. Write them down and post 'em up.

I have give the car a run around the block and all seems well but still slightly hesitating on start up so think it may need changing or there may be a gremlin in there somewhere will just see how it gos for now. drift when i see you at bala will have one of these i will be gutted if i miss bala have all ready made room on my fire place for the fog trophy ![]() Thanks for the replies guys

Re: Can anyone Help!!!Another thing to check is the throttle body, give it a good clean out with a toothbrush and some carb cleaner/WD40. Common fault on these engines.
