Soapbox Rallying

This has cropped up on a rally discussion forum - sounds like a cheap and fun sort of motor sport to me (without the motor)

That looks like fun. There were a few near misses there though.

this made me giggle, is this not what every kid used to do before the world went PC mad and over cautious :roll:

, only difference is we never had a car drag us to the top o' the hill, we had to walk and push the thing up there :roll:

Lets do a FOG one for charity. Imagine how much people would pay to see one of us clowns do that :idea:

That takes me back to my childhood days of building karts out of scaffold boards and pram wheels, and getting splinters in my jacksy. :lol:

My dad used to do one each year with Round Table/Rotary/Masons (I can't remember which). Was huge amounts of fun and we all used to chip in and help build the thing, last one I was allowed to get involved in was when it rolled and I broke my leg as the frame landed on me, but would love to do it again now I am older and less intelligent

can remember when i was a kid. 4 pram wheels, 4 planks of wood and some rope to steer with.....

was about 3 weeks and several injuries later we realised.... ah.... brakes! which turned out to be pressing your feet against the front wheel tyres. :lol:

My Friend Angie & her partner used to have a 2 Go-Karts,(his & hers) and we'd take em around the track, was brill fun :dance:

I wonder if you could custom a go-kart for it to be legal on the roads??

I could be driver cause with my "ahem" build the extra weight will help me be pulled down faster, Frontydan and frontycustom on research and devolpment ,Alex and sir doris on construction, trugga on safety, Drift as team principal and Roo and perfectprincess as the eye candy on the grid :wink:
