Does anyone think like me that in 20 years time it'll be like watching the sweeney ?
I watch that programe and see allthe cars i grew up with and walk down nostalgia lane, but i grieve at the cost...everything designed by computer , little bubbles running about ( but wonderfully aerodynamic + cost efficient + great carbon friendly emissions )... but where's the style.....
Just bought an old fronty ( 2.4 l reg petrol in green ) and i'm gonna keep her ... if nothing else , just to ** * * off all the environmentalists ......

my last 2.4 l dark green she was a good motor stuck a lot of abuse lots a messin on round abouts she hung up her gloves as needed to much wrk still have it at back of house as a trophy and as doner for new 1 best a luck wit yours :well done:

Cars are all rather boring now, all about saving fuel and pretty much all boxed off in nice neat little sales areas , hot hatch, people carrier, city car, urban family car, then us gas guzzlers, not wanting to get into the gas guzzling debate as its off topic.

Just old engines all had a distinctive noise, you could tell a ford from a vauxhall and a rover from a fiat just by listening to them.
It just doesnt happen now

ive been watching the old randall and hopkirk on sky there are some golden oldies on there,oh and roo the capris on the professionals were cool but not as good as the ford escort rs2000 that doyal used to drive :wink:

i used to have a mk3 cortina with a rally spec rs 2000 engine in it was bored out to a 2.1 i even had twin40 webber carbs on it used to be able to do 73 mph in second and had a top speed of 127 mph :shock:
