Bosal or Cheep Exhaust ????

Hi all hope this is an appropriate place to post ? .... i need a new exhaust the bit after the cat and before the back box it has two silencers boxes on it (x reg 2000 ish 2.2 lwb) .............. my problem is do i buy the Bosal Exhaust or the half price cheep one ???? bosal app £120 cheep £70 both fitted

i woz gunna buy the bosal at first but the guy at exhuast place woz, talking it down saying it would be noisier seen as its bigger ???? ..... but i would have fort that would make it better dont u think ??? any advise wellcome here lol gotta get done at weekend lol

Have always used budget exhausts, never had any problem with them and if anything untowards does happen to them it is cheaper to replace.

thanks Sir-doris for your input ....... but i once had a vectra with origanal exhaust and oppted for the cheeper one when renewed only to allways drive it thinking its still blowing ..... even took it bk but it woznt blowing the ccheep one i remember woz twice as thin as the one they took of ....... so thats why im asking i guess ...... but the guy playing down the bosal dont make sence to me so got a bit confused lol ???

How long are you planning on keeping the Frontie?

If it is more than 12mth then don't bother with the cheapie unless you can get a 2yr warranty on it.

thanks andy ill prob be keeping longer than 12 months ...... but is there any difference between the two other than how long they last ? .... i mean like better compression or noize ??

Don't know, but Bosal are a reputable make.

As you have said some cheapie exhausts are made out of very thin steel (will rust through quicker) and have silencers that are baffled to keep noise down - cheaper to produce but very restrictive to exhaust gas flow - less performance.

As I haven't seen either I wouldn't like to comment, go with your gut feel.

think im gunna go with the bosal how will i know i got what im paying for anyone know ??? like is it stamped bosal or somert ? lol

It will have Bosal stamped on it somewhere, usually in big writing.
