New to this.. Just brought a fronty sport - 2.8td.

Hi Fella's!

Im all new to this.

done abit of off roading a while back but nothing for ages.

just recently won a frontera 2.8td sport in auction im pickin up this coming friday.

Ive had 2 frontera lwb's a 2.2 16v and a 2.4 16v but not a fronty sport 2.8 td before!

What are these sports like? this ones just standard but in very good nick. Im looking at taking it to a track on saturday thats got a few shallow rivers,some deep mud etc etc.

Just wondering if a standard frontera sport would be ok with handerling that type of stuff as my other 2 frontys did have a few off road mods on them but this has nothing. Just standard.

Any comments or advice would be great!

Hello mate, you'll be suprised what a standard fronty will do, especially the 2.8td. I would advise getting some mud boots for it, or at least some AT's. A suspension lift is also a bonus

Watch out for air intake sucking water up.

Mines standard and gets around ok, but watch out for those mud holes in the woods :wink:
