Resealing rear diff with Hermetite Red.

Anyone ever had any experience of using Hammerite Hermetite Red?

I bought it in Halfords some time ago after reading about the blue stuff being rubbish. Wasnt really thinking just grabbed what was on the shelf.
Iv already used it to seal up the diff, I havent put any oil in yet but it will have had 2 days to cure by the time I do fill it.

Any comments?

Yes did my 2.8 diff with it when the blue stuff failed after replacing the cover, no problems at all, recommended

Cracking stuff Ste, thats all I wanted to know. I squeezed a bit out onto some cardboard last night, it dries like playdo.

I use the red stuff all the time and its good. Use with a new gasket tho'

You dont use a gasket on the rear diff
