I'm thinking of fitting a snorkel to my truck (will be a b and Q jobbie), already searched this site for ideas. I was wondering though, how do they affect performance, mpg etc etc, I remember reading one post that said that the mpg went through the floor. How does everyone get on who has done the diy snorkel mod? Thanks in advance.
Someone mention laning? Just tell me when and where!

Have'nt noticed any difference either just a better noise by your right ear when you excellerate!!!

It shouldnt really make a difference on a fuel injected engine as the ecu will compensate for any increase/decrease in the air flow.
I also drink Port and I'm not ashamed to say it!

Not had mine fitted long enough, but the guy that did mine said that the slight ram air force created negates any restriction to airflow you may create, just make sure its a swivel top and try to avoid too many twists and turns.

Having a turbo means it sucks air in more than really needed so as Jim said if there are not to many turns it wont harm the performance.
