Side Steps Frontera 2.0l Sport 1996 P reg

I was looking for side steps for my P reg Sport - traveled up to Middlesborough to pick them up, got them home, picked up some new bolts started to fit them only to find they don't fit. :cry:

Apparently there are more than one type of side steps, wished I had known!! My vehicle has coil spring shocks and the steps I bought have straight struts meaning they won't connect onto the back step fitting. Can anyone help? Can these steps be adapted to fit my vehicle? Anyone know please?

Are they from a B series Swb model?

Hi , The guy I got them from said they were off a P reg B Series SWB. So I took his word for it,unfortunately I thought that all the SWB steps were the same.

Hmmm there are no P reg B series

the earliest should be S reg.

Ive not heard of anyone modding them to fit, but I suppose if your handy with a welder it would be pretty straight forward.

any chance of a picture , then someone on here will tell you exactly which model they are off

Thanks for your help, I would not know one end of a welder from the other so unless I can find anyone local to to me who could, I guess it is back to scouring for the right type to buy. Put it down to experience :oops:

Pop them in the for sale section or ebay, you will very likely get more than the cost of the P reg swb steps for them :wink:
