Sadly time to leave the frontera scene as fuel prices are mad and mr gordon f*****g brown deciding to hike the tax on any age 4x4 to some stupid rate come 2010. I own two fronteras a 2.4 petrol & a 2.8 diesel and now worth nothing due to the gordon and his 4x4 fobia. Maybe a look at them selfs being driven around in 4.0l jags. Surely these use more fuel than the average frontera. So i have to give in as it is not the money it is the princeple not to keep paying up. God bless the 4x4

Unless your trucks are registered after 2001, the new tax bands wont make any difference to what you pay now, apart from Annual Budget Tax increases.

Any from what you say, a 2.4 & a 2.8, both these would have been registred BEFORE 2001.

All this tax is a con in my eyes.
I pay £110 a YEAR to tax my 56 plate merc sprinter van that lugs around 3 1/2 tonnes every day and an annual mileage circa 30,000 miles!

But according to the government my frontera must be doing twice as much damage to the roads/environment despite only doing around 5,000 a year!
