its making noises

I noticed tonight a noise that when i turned the key off something was buzzing when i lifted the bonett there was water trikleing into the resivour(<erm) and i had to disconect the battery to stop it what could this be?

on the 2.3 we have a pre water pump, which starts flowing water on ignition, dont know about the other engines, if its running when the ignition is of check the pump,
located just beside the header tank, there is a plug runing to it you can unplug if you want to,

yes there is a plug and it does stop it so can i leave this out or do i need it?

just a thought check your fues as i think that comes on when the fuse is blown
