Why oh Why

As it it a quiet Saturday and I am felling a little bored I have brought this topic back as this week the situation seems to have got worse! :evil:

The average frontera is a huge solid built beast so why when out and about do the owners of " newer " plastic clad cars enjoy driving straight towards you on narrow roads expecting you to " ditch".

The roads round here are full of hedges and ditches with hidden nasties so these days I have stopped ditching and just like to see ther faces when I refuse to ditch.

The best one however was in the local town.Usual tourist traffic brought it to a standstill and caused a jam.With the handbrake on and in nuetral guy getting out of a parked car opens his door.Next thing loud bang.His car door bounced off the solid metal bumper ( you could have got a bike through the distance between us ),so the guy has a go at me for hitting him!!!
So his door was damaged and not a scratch on the Fronty.Luckly the driver of the 18 wheeler stuck going the other way backed up I was staionary and not moving so the guy just had to walk away fumming.

Is it just me going mad or do other drivers think that a solid metal bumper will just make them bounce off you with out a scratch!!!

Same here where i live lots of narrow roads and lanes
but people expect you to pull over just because you
are driving a 4x4 and some of the looks they give you because you
dont is unbelievable but i just stick my 2 fingers up at them
and give them a smile.

i always carry a news papper around with me, and when i cause a traffic jam be cause the driver coming the other way is in a bit of a hurry and tries to get me to move down the road quicker, i just apply the hand brake and pull out news papper, and put feet on the dash, the papper is about two years old

We used to do that when I worked on farms in Norfolk. Combine with cutting bed trailed behind plus two tractors each with a 12 ton grain trailer, we used to come across car drivers that would want us to reverse up. We used to switch off and get out for a natter, they soon took the hint.

yea know that problem why is it these boy racers with there pimped up 1.o engine wants to get up my arse or try to overtake in to the oncoming traffic now my break lights arn't really that bright so the look on there faces when i hit the breaks is pure joy when they do over take they thing there really funny doing the same but never really give me chance to hit them. or the pull out in front of you in a cloud of rubber smoke then struggle to find the right gear to pull off. But the best by far was watching a range rover sport slow right down to go round a puddle the other day in walsall
