How many miles

Hi, I got my first fronty abount a mounth ago now and was wondering about mpg,
I have filled the tank and get 300 miles does this sound right. I know thay arnt great for milage but it's costing me a small bundle.

any surgestions on how to improve this?

lots of things play a part in mpg ....

how often is it serviced ....are the tyre pressures at the correct level.....are you carrying any un-necessary weight in the car

how often is it serviced - dont know when it was last serviced, i am planing on doing it very soon tho

for a tip top 2.4 ....you should be seeing about the mid to late 20's

i get about 20mpg round town and towing caravan and about 28/30mpg on a motorway run

i think i will clear back out might get a few more mpg out of it

I get 25mpg from the Sport, which matches what I used to get from them when I had them new.

The 2.4 was never an economical vehicle, that was one of the reasons why the 2.2i Petrol was introduced in 96/97.

I'll dig out the original brochures I have somewhere, it should indicate the expected economy.

I have the 2.2 petrol. fully serviced. i used 130.00 quid, and got just under 700 miles, 600 miles was motorway driving while the 100 miles was around town average speed, 11mph.

well i'm getting about 23 mpg mostly motorway, durham to newcastle and back. 45 mile round trip.
so about the same as sean.

OO I did say 24mpg sounds about right, and they are rather solid engines so that should save you in the long run, remember they are heavy cars and not many people get more than 32mpg out of newer frontera's

i was geting about 38mpg before i parked her up

but i do love it , would like to go offroad but worried it will fall apart it creaks abit and their is a rattle from engine. need it looked at
