Well have just done wales to cornwall,all around and back again (nearly 800miles)in my 2.3 without a glitch.
In the past ive always used shell helix or valvoline15/50 but have always had the flickery light when hot and temp always went up slightly a bit on hills .
last week gave it the full once over and couldnt get my regular oil so was reccomended some morris oil 15/50 (some may say too thick but im on 160k on my first turbo)..well what a difference temp didnt budge and no flickery light even after a 5 hour drive can only assume the other oils where over thinning (so perhaps not all oils with same grade are the same)so I think I will be using this stuff from now on

Agreed, I generally change to 5w/40 when the weather cools down and then back to 10w/40 when it warms up.

I had a quick snoop around for some 50watt and didnt find any. Will need to persevere methinks.

a lot of rally boys tend to use the 20/50 or 15/50 so your local tuning shop is a good bet
