Re: National Fuel Protest 22nd JuneI am up for this, I am sick and tired of this government systematically stealing from us. So as hannbabe has written put up or shut up, it's as simple as that. This nation has lost it's backbone, we did have backbone that once made us famous and it's time to get it back. If we do not make a stand desiel will be around £ 1.75 - £ 2.00 per litre by the end of the year.
I am sure there was saying years ago about Great Britian during the world wars we were involved in, it was " we fear no foe " if that saying was still around today it would read " The British Nation Scarred of it's own Shadow " hannbabe is there a website or a forum where this can be found. Re: National Fuel Protest 22nd JuneGoogle it,just about every forum is listed.
This seems about the longest thread http://www.volkszone.co.uk/VZi/showthread.php?t=459422 Given farmers are one of the main complainers of fuel costs,you might expect more than 7 posts on the subject in the horse & hound forum. So lets see then there is a fuel shortage so we are all going to drive in a convoy somewhere . Lots of convoys will end up in cities like London with congestion charge. Lets all clag up the urban centres & bring traffic to a stand still,obviously during this period of total urban grid lock there will be no emergency service cover.
Re: National Fuel Protest 22nd JuneA friend, take on board what you are saying, but are we the people just going to keep on taking this pooh from this joke of a goverment. I have had enough of them, we can't all sit behind our PC's and talk about it and tell each other how bad it is and not do anything about it.
In months or years to come the only vehicles on the road may only be emergency vehicles because everyone else will be on push bikes. We have to do something. ATB. Reeco
Re: National Fuel Protest 22nd JuneDon’t forget to protest in a true British fashion and buy some more fuel…..
More would be gained from staying at home….. A national (unofficial strike ) stay at home day, the shear unity and organization alone of the masses on such an extent will have a profound and lasting impact on our representatives (politicians) on a scale never seen before http://www.crag-uk.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: National Fuel Protest 22nd JuneOk, Im not naive enough to think this will happen, but a play on Pauls idea
The whole country for two weeks. Either car share Or Use public transport. I know for a fact ( not saying to much, as I need a job) the public transport system couldnt cope. But it would show two things. 1. Fuel tax revenue would plummet, ( what tax increase would compensate? ) 2. It would show the woeful inadiquasies of investment our public transport system especially since bus deregulation in 1986. Unfortunately people need to make personal sacrifices, eg .. being late for work , but in this United Kingdom we are fractionated by the very goverment that serves us..................... We can be sacked for being late for work, bus , train, plane, option Use your car Can you see a contrary pattern ? Ste
