Parts from across the pond

Greetings Gents (and Ladies),

Some of these assorted parts are interchangeable with yours (esp. wheels and tires) and I thought that it may be a way of getting some items on the cheap. I'm sure you all are aware of how little the US dollar is valued in the world these days. It may well be worth the wait and the shipping to get your hands on some of these. Rats. Post ruins the day. Sorry about that. Wish I could help. UPS Expedited is WAY too expensive. US Mail Parcel Post is much cheaper albeit ludicrously slow.

Postage to me is around US $16. I know Airmail is probably about US $25. to $50. to England.

I paid a $180 to get all my bits shipped over. Not including import duty that I had to pay once they arrived. That was from independant4x. In all honesty though it arrived with ten days or so and they emailed me to tell me everything had been shipped etc.

Wow, that is so steep. Import duty? I have done international purchasing a lot and have never paid anything but postage. Ah well, not trying to get political but our lack of protection on imports and trade is some of why we're in this mess now.

I guess our price and selection over here is decent but export/import issues dulls the sheen.

Anything over a certain value shipped here from outside the European Union is subject to import tax. made a $300 purchase into $400

There is no rhyme or reason to import duty, I paid it on a $20 import and I had to pay £6 or something as import duty which was almost DOUBLE my original price!

I want to order my bull bar from the states, but I am afraid that my $450 purchase would turn out to be £900 by the time I get through import duties!
Perhaps I should have it sent to France, drive over and get it, then fit it and drive back!

Thieving bar stewards in the govt just want more and more and more of our hard earned!
