Ok, all paper work sorted for new truck, collecting friday, jus called insurance company, which has been churchill for last 3 years. anyway, i have 3 years no claims, and for my new truck which i quoted as being 900 hundred more than my old, the price has gone up to 726 a year, just over 120 quid of the green stuff. so instead of 50 quid a month which includes buisness use, its now gone up to just over 60 quid a month, would this be normal for a car valued 800 quid more.
cheers

I had the same problem.
My 2,8 was insured with Churchill for about £550 fully comp, protected, 9 years etc.
Went to insure a 1.2 Renault Clio and it was more !!! This is due to the NCD only being applicable to one policy. So, I insured the Clio on a temporary policy, renewing it every couple of weeks as required (£58 per month)
I rang Adrian Flux (do a search in Google) and got the 2.8 insured for £205, with all the modifications itemised. They are also insuring the Sport (again, with all the modifications itemised) for, guess what, yes, £205.
So that is 2 modified Fronteras insured with Adrian Flux cheaper than just the one with Churchill.
I rang Churchill to cancel my insurance with them and they said there was no way they could get near that price.

well finaly got insurance sorted. after 2 days on the phone, and god what a nightmare.
I have stayed with churchil in the end, but be advised. this is what its cost, normal monthly premium for my truck, £48.00 quid. so i looked at another truck, and made sure i was insured before collecting. so called insurer, they aded £28.00 to last monthly premium, so last premium cost me £76.80. but i decided not to purchase that truck and cancelled, then got the truck i had been looking at a while and called them again.
this time, they charged me an extra £36.00 last night on a visa card, and said they were waiting for another signed mandate for another £42.00. so this month they were hoping to take out of me was .... 76+36+42=154. for my new truck, and tempary cover for 2 weeks for my old truck. till i sell it.
but manage to get the 42 knocked of in the end after 2 days on phone, and a quote im happy with... but as some of you have already said, to add or buy a car, please be careful of the hidden costs, as churchil charge £21.00 each time you change your policy.
oh yeah, and privalege what another 200 hundred of me over the top of what im paying now,
cheers for the help guys, it pays to haggle, get on the phone also. and phone again. as each operator id different. and sometimes more helpful.
so will have me truck saturday, and will post a few pics for you lot to look it over.
