hi all, i have a 54 plate 3.2 v6 swb and my abs light is on,i got it checked and there was two codes came up i replaced the o/s one but the abs light is still on .is it usual for both to go at the same time.

On mine when it first came on a goo clean would sort the fronts, but when it came on and wouldn't go off wit h a claen the code showed it was the rear one the was faulty. It fits into the dif. Replacemnt was about £38 + labour of course.

they said that they cleaned them both and one fault came up and they replaced the os side one trying to get a second hand one now

i am not sure they pluged in the diagnostic computer and an error came up he then said that i will need a new sensor for the rh side

It could be the old fault code appering again as its stored in the ecu memory and it may need clearing out.

if you have replaced the duff sensor - drive at 8-10 mph for about 30 metres or so, this is stated in the Isuzu manual.

Its common for abs sensors to become dirty especially on recreational vehicles so check and clean.
Also its important to check the wheel bearings are not out of adjustment.
Code readers/scan tools are only a diagnostic aid to work alongside other diagnostic aids.
Get hold of an accurate multimeter and some thin probes.
The resistance for the front sensors measured at the abs multiplug on pins A2&B2 (left front) is between 2100-2600 Ohms . the right hand side uses pins A3&B3 also between 2100-2600 Ohms.
The rear wheels are pins A4&B4 and a reading between 1100-1700 Ohms.
The output from the sensor is checked at the wheel, lift vehicle, disconnect the sensor and rotate the wheel by hand ( a brisk 60rpm) the output from the sensor should be measured in Volts AC with a reading around 0.1Vac minimum, (best to check with a scope if you have one)
The tightening toque for the sensor is 11Nm.
