my 2.4i is economical - does average of 28.5 mpg & seems fast enough at a top speed of 111 mph ... so what does a 2.2 do ????

My 2.4 must need a good service then, think its doing about 20mpg at moment, compared to around 26 out of the 2.2
The 2.2 definately picked its feet up a lot better. As for top speed, don't think I'd like to go above 70mph that would be just too scary

I average 25-30 mpg now that I live in the country. I used to average 20-25 mpg when I lived in the city. 95 2.2 which I service frequently.
I also drink Port and I'm not ashamed to say it!

If you are learning about servicing your B series frontera, for quite a lot of tasks the A series Haynes will cover most service items for you in terms of procedures, when you require specific advice for your modal, then post in the relevant area on this forum for advice.
