A series......B series

Ok, my truck is A series 2L sport.

I have her a year and a couple months, so far spent
130.00 on fuel pipes from fuel sender.
130.00 on all new bushes on the back
280.00 on brakes, master cylinder which was well documented on here.
380.00 on new heater matrix
not counting servicable items, 2 new tyres to the front 150.00 plus tracking 20.00

my truck is back in garage tomorrow, for some bad noises coming from drivers side wheel..Ie. grinding when i turn steering, and metal to metal sound, when going over bumps, along with a squeak from the same wheel, that if i just touch brake pedal, gets worse, but when i apply the brake to stop, it goes.

so expecting another 200.00 quid.

I have a couple oil leeks that need to be sorted, so would be mor expense next month.

So what do i do, whats the best truck...do i fix problem now and sell on, which prices down here around 600 at best, and add some pennies to that and go for B series, abit newer.

or is the A series deep down a better car, and worth keeping up to date. oh yes, im currantly on 97000 miles if that helps.

only my opinion but sounds like u got a bad un m8 and id quit while i was ahead and still had some money in my wallet, i own an A series, R - reg fronty sport, have had it since last feb, it gets seriously thrashed up and down the motorway every day , used to tow stuff, abused offroad and has done 40 000 mls in just over a year ( now at 104 000 ) has only let me down once ( top hose had perished and split ) i paid £1900 for it with no service history or paper work. sonds to me like ure throwin money at a bad egg, when there is better out there.

It might pay to get one of the FOG techies to give it a look over, you will probably get a better opinion and probably shave a few quid off repairs. Noise from wheel sounds like a collapsed wheel bearing.
