the lanes are in North and East Hertfordshire, they can be a little scratchy but nothing a rub down with polish wont sort and they are suitable for beginners and un-modded trucks. AT tyres are advisable or muds as it can get a bit slippy in the woods.
The route I have done takes about 5 hrs to get round and a nice little pub at the end for goodbyes
Thought you were paintballin on the 27th Ian ??????????

Should be OK for the 21st. It's my birthday May be ok to lead one group. Have PM'd you my email if you can send the overlay. Will be dependant on getting my sat nav fixed so I can import the overlay into it, or having a copilot that can read maps (provided I remember to bring them )

So as it stands, pending confirmations we have a full 2 groups. Anyone else wishing to join will have to go on the reserves list on a 1st come 1st served basis.
Please Copy and paste the list below and state if confirmed for 21st March. The meeting point will be Sainsburys carpark at Stevenage North (Junction 8 A1M )

For those who havent been laning before, it is advisable to have 1. good recovery points front and rear, and towing strop, 99% sure we wont need them but the boy scout in me never dies 2. CB radio (channel 8 is traditional for FOG) 3. if no CB then mobile phone is essential 4. Warm clothing and spares (it is England remember) 5. First Aid Kit 6. Drinks and Butties 7. Silly as it sounds, toilet roll. There aint that many public loo's in the wilds of Hertfordshire Dont worry if you havent got a 5ton recovery strop and equally rated shackles as someone will have (ME)

bobbinsjob wrote:Right chaps, the only date I am available until after Bala is Sunday 21st March i.e. 2 weeks away Also, By the looks of things we will need another leader if the numbers stay similar (MAX 5 to a group, preferably 4) so volunteers required with laning and lead experience. If you have Memory Map I can send an overlay or if not I can print the maps off
I can't make the 21st as I have a golf tournament so will have to miss this one. Are there any plans to do some lanning during the evenings over the summer months? Cheers Danny
