If the SC convoy winds up going round the M25 (fairly probably) wanna meet and join up at the bottom of the M1?
Hemel perhaps, or Toddington MSA?

Distance wise, from the M25/M11 split to Catthorpe interchange, there's about a mile difference, I think. Personal preference is for the M1 route, purely because the A14 tends to clog up badly, given that it's carrying a motorway level of traffic on a dual carriageway, but it's up to you guys.

Cambridge to Huntingdon can get very bad...but there are other ways to go to avoid this, but once you get past Huntingdon its normaly ok. Mind you, I havnt driven up that way for a wile so, please dont kill me if I'm wrong! :D

On the other hand...if your only going to go the M11/A14 way for my sakes then please dont bother (not sure if anyone else is coming this corner of the world)....as I dont even know if I'm going yet :P

Hi Guys

Just been reading the posts on this thread and though I'd better put in my two penneth, so as your not surprised on convoy day there is no exit on to the A14 from the M1. However it ain't all bad news, just travel a bit further up and cut across or come off the M1 at 15a, go into Northampton and pick up the A5199, this road goes right past the event (well, it goes past the glider feild next to the event site).

Time wise from M1 J15A up M1 and cutting across takes about 40-45 minutes at LR speed (ye I know Fronty speed is a lot faster but needs must at times). A5199 might take 5 minutes longer but it's a more leisurely drive, also there is a junction where it crosses over the A14 so you could meet up with folks coming in from East Anglia, A1 corridor.

Bit more than two penneth, but hope it helps !!

Regards

Stuart
