I already told you I'm not into that sort of thing. Besides, I'm not sure the part about the gerbils and the hosepipe is entirely legal

I've seen the pics too.
There's a camouflaged AA truck in one of them, surely??
Seriously though, from those shots, and what Trugga took for the GLASS meet, it looks a cracking site, especially with the big marquee, etc. Really looking forward to it now.

Hi All

The photo's do look great, but what I will say is in reality it is even better than they portray. The ups and downs shown in the photos are alot more UP and DOWN than you see here, its great, I can't wait, I've been twice before,OOOOooo I'm so exited.....

I've sorted out a couple of sets (5 if needs be) of lanes for those that are interested, as promised, saturdays lanes will be north of the site and sundays will be south of the site (North is Leicestershire which will be open in April, south is Northamptonshire which don't open until Sunday 1st of May).

Kind regards

Stuart :drink:

ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

we might have a problem there, the car park we have to cross to get to the camp site, must be kept clean, no muddy trucks what so ever, as we have are own gate on to the site, and unless he gives us access to the main road, we will have to clean are trucks down some what to cross

Hmmm... This sounds a little daft, imposing such a restriction, given that we're booking the camping, and the offroad site at the same time. Beyond a little bit of stuff dripping from wet & muddy motors, I'd have thought the worst culprit for mud is what gets stuck in your tyretreads, then flung out as speed increases. Will be a right bugger, having to basically hose down every motor each time it leaves the offroad site.

there is, its just if we can use it or not, they just dont want muddy trucks in he car park, and we maybe the only ones using the of road site, but they will still have some shooting clubs there, or hover crafts clubs or quad clubs, as they run corporate meets, like with the marquee, we only have use of this in the evening, as it will be getting used of a day by the others that have hired the other parts of the site, you dont have to clean it, i think they just dont want trucks parked up there, or flying through

Hi All

Reference the site position camping and access to the areas. On previous visits we have turned left after leaving the queens highway, just before the hedge surrounding the offroad site. Follow the hedge and you come across a very wide gateway into the offroad site and just beyond the gate way is the camping area, at the other end of the camping area from this position is the access to the Marque toilet/shower facility etc. Once on site it has been a simple case of using the wide gateway on and off the offroad site into and out of the camping area. Access to and from the queens highway has been by way of the route in which is a wide rough track suitable for resonable speed to fling mud out of tyres and dislodge ant from under your vehicle thus the main driveway that others use remains largely clean likewise the queens highway.

Those turning up early might like to give some though to where you would like the tents/caravans sited so as access to the off road site isn't restricted. Would be good for there to be some sort of order in the site and also where to park vehicles (with tents or in a seperate area (to keep mud at bay).

Of course Robin, the site owner, might have other ideas !!!!!!!!

Just my experiences thoughs and opinion, now I'll shut me gob, cheers.

Stuart :D

Does anyone know yet, what time is the earliest we can arrive? Just to give us an idea of what time we can plan to set off on out relevant convoys.

We have had the walk around with the owner and this is going to be the camping area, over to the right of the muddy get to the off road section, the idea is to have a "corral" style set up and if there is any wind we use the caravans on the wind ward side and hedges behind the tents for extra shelter, if you see my meaning, plus its more social than having randomly spread tents and vans.

The camping area.

I just had a thought, and thought I'd give you all a heads-up. I have a REALLY BAD snoring problem. Just ask Big Dazz...he and everyone else who camped at Drumclog that weekend. They all thought there was some kind of wild beast roaming about the site.
