Yes i know  ... But am fitting one in my truck as i need to use one for work now. am fitting a mini atx behind the seats Ive sorted power, monitor, key board, dongle even Skype :wtf: . Its running windows 7 any ideas on a sat nav i can run on it and it has to be a good one full postcode jobby, Ive seen usb gps receivers, but most need wi-fi or 3g to help the software to get a good fix but that means topping up the dongle as it uses the data on it.

any ideas on pref cheap or even better free software :)

For route planning you will really need to buy a software package from the likes of Tomtom or Copilot to run true gps without wifi internet or data charges.
Google maps rely on wifi and gps as far as I know and thats only on enabled devices like mobile phones and tablets but know one will give it away for free sadly.

Remember we will not tolerate any links or advice to look for pirated software
